Every movie and series coming to Netflix next month: July 2025

Netflix is entering its chaotic summer era, and July 2025 might just be its most unhinged lineup yet. If you thought the platform was slowing down mid-year, think again. This month is a parade of unexpected sequels, cursed weddings, immortal sword fights, golf meltdowns, K-dramas, true crime, anime, and at least one stop-motion show that nobody asked for but everyone will pretend to love. It is messy, weirdly specific, and exactly what your streaming fatigue needs.

Leading the charge is The Old Guard 2, crashing onto screens on July 2. Charlize Theron is back with her band of moody immortals, slicing through enemies and trauma with equal elegance. If you like your action soaked in angst and leather, this one is for you. But just when you start to feel intellectual, along comes Happy Gilmore 2 on July 25. Adam Sandler is reprising his golf-swinging manchild, and honestly, we respect the chaos. Nostalgia is a powerful drug, and Netflix knows exactly when to dose it.

For those leaning into the strange, Ziam arrives July 9 with horror that feels more psychological than gory. Brick, another mid-month drop, brings some noir energy, while Madea’s Destination Wedding is guaranteed to disrupt any sense of peace you had this summer. Tyler Perry’s Madea franchise has built an entire world of wedding-based meltdowns, and this one looks like the loudest yet. Pair that with Almost Cops, and you have a comedy duo built for loud laughs and questionable choices.

On the series side, The Sandman returns on July 3 with Season 2 (or rather, Volume 1 of it). This is prestige fantasy at its most poetic, and fans have been begging for more. That drop is quickly followed by Attack on London: Hunting the 7/7 Bombers on July 1, a documentary that balances out all the fiction with real-world intensity. It is the kind of sharp, investigative content Netflix rarely gets credit for but consistently delivers.

There is also a flood of reality shows and dramas in July. Better Late Than Single is Netflix’s latest K-drama reality blend, where attractive people do very little and still manage to create emotional damage. Building the Band will likely scratch the talent-show itch, while Too Much and Untamed promise romantic chaos and quiet mystery, respectively.

And for the animation crowd, Netflix is not holding back. Leviathan and The Summer Hikaru Died bring beautifully dark anime to the lineup, while My Melody & Kuromi drop a dose of candy-coloured weirdness. The month ends with Glass Heart and Leanne, both new titles that could surprise everyone or quietly disappear into the algorithm void. Either way, they are coming for your watchlist.

So clear your queue, cancel your plans, and brace yourself. July is not giving you peace. It is giving you content. And a whole lot of it.
