Ahoy, matey! Get ready for a binge-worthy September because Netflix is piling it on, and if you thought your watchlist might get a bit of a breather after summer, no such luck.

For starters, September 1st alone brings Jaws, Scarface, Sleepless in Seattle, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Blues Brothers, which is a frankly rather crazy amount of film history to dump on one day. Then comes September 3rd, bringing The Gentlemen back for season two after a fair old wait. Guy Ritchie’s crime comedy returns with more trouble on the cards, while Smile 2 releases the same day.

September 10th calls the agents back with Call My Agent! The Movie, which picks things up years after the French series and throws Andréa Martel back into the orbit of the old ASK crowd when her directorial debut gets in trouble.

Families get Dog Man on September 13th, but then, Netflix swerves back into darker territory on September 17th with Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story. You might need to gear up for this one. Ella Beatty takes the title role in the latest chapter of Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan’s anthology, and yes, this one should get people talking.

That same day brings Stranger Things: Tales From ’85, season two. Hawkins still can’t catch a break as the animated spin-off returns with another supernatural mess for the gang and takes you back to Netflix’s favourite retro franchise.

September 22nd brings all three seasons of Party Down, and if you missed this cult comedy the first time round, this is your sign to binge it all over a long weekend. Aspiring Hollywood types working catering jobs while waiting for their careers to take off? What could be funnier?

Then, September 24th brings good news for horror fans with House at the End of the Street and Oculus, and we are set to be spooked. The month wraps up with Unabomber on September 25th, Mononoke the Movie: Chapter III – The Curse of the Serpent on September 29th, and What’s Your Number? on September 30th. So, ta-da! Your September viewing plans can now cover all bases.
