Netflix subscribers are in for another wave of departures this week. From beloved TV series to classic romantic films, here’s a glimpse of what you’ll need to catch before they bid adieu to the streaming giant.
Girlfriends, starring Tracee Ellis Ross, has been a staple on Netflix for a while now, with its eight-season run spanning a whopping 172 episodes. For those who have followed the lives, friendships, and adventures of Joan, Toni, Maya, and Lynn, this is your last chance to relive the laughter and drama. And don’t forget to catch Satria Heroes: Revenge of the Darkness, a 2017 Indonesian superhero action saga, also departing on the 11th.
The 2018 biographical drama Colette, starring Keira Knightley and Dominic West, will be leaving the platform, along with the Filipino rom-com Finally Found Someone from 2017. Both films offer a dose of love, art, and self-discovery, making them the perfect choices for a cosy movie night.
On September 15th, an array of Filipino films bid adieu to Netflix. A Love Story (2007), Barcelona: A Love Untold (2016), Crazy Beautiful You (2015), and Everything About Her (2016) are all set to depart. In addition, the long-running reality TV series Intervention will be saying goodbye after its 21st season, and Seven Sundays (2017) will be taking its final bow from Netflix for now as well.
Closing out the week, fans of VeggieTales in the City will have to bid farewell to the animated series as seasons one and two make their exit. This Netflix original has been a source of wholesome entertainment for kids and families alike. Wish Upon a Unicorn (2020), a family-friendly adventure film, will also be leaving the platform.
