Every film and series leaving Netflix this week: August 2023

This week we will see a bunch of departures from Netflix, as is the norm. But apart from a couple of big names, you may not miss the rest.

Kicking off on August 14th, comedy fans have to say bye-bye to Colin Quinn: Unconstitutional (2015). Quinn delves into the intricacies of the US Constitution and American history in this stand-up special.

Historical drama and action, Knightfall leaves Netflix with its first and second seasons. This series follows the Knights Templar, exploring their secrets, struggles, and quests amid political intrigue during the Middle Ages.

As August 16th rolls around, a bunch of Indian films depart. Mani Ratnam’s Bombay is the most iconic of the lot. It tells a poignant tale of love against the backdrop of religious tensions and societal conflicts.

Fans of mind-bending thrills can delve into The Game and its three seasons. This psychological thriller series dives into the twisted world of an exclusive invitation-only game that blurs the lines between reality and fantasy, leading players down a rabbit hole of mysteries and danger. Fantasy fiction Seventh Son also leaves this week, so this might be your last chance to catch a world of magic and monsters as a young farmhand is trained to become an exorcist.

The popular cartoon show Winx Club seasons six and seven will also leave this week. This animated series follows the adventures of colourful fairies attending Alfea College to master their magical powers and face formidable foes.

Come August 17th, Bhavesh Joshi Superhero leaves with its desi twist on the superhero genre as a group of friends strives to combat corruption in their city. On a different note, Les Misérables, Victor Hugo’s classic tale painting a heartwrenching picture of love, sacrifice, and redemption in 19th-century France departs. O Kadhal Kanmani (2015), a romantic drama exploring the complexities of modern relationships in a bustling Indian city, bids adieu too.

While new content arrives, Netflix original, the Japanese fantasy action drama, Bleach, says farewell from the platform’s library. And there’s more that bows out.
