Every film and series leaving Netflix: September 2024

Another month comes around, and another plethora of TV shows and movies need to leave Netflix. Due to licensing agreements with various production companies, Netflix isn’t able to keep some shows and films on its platform forever, and at some point, it needs to show some names out the door to allow others to enter. August is no different, as the streaming site has announced some of the films and series that will soon be leaving the site.

On the list are titles that vary in genre, date of release, and originality. Classics such as Airport and American Hustle will no longer be available. Silly comedies like Tooth Fairy and Monsters vs. Aliens, perfect for a family movie night, will also be leaving Netflix in the near future.

It’s a bad day for Spider-Man fans, as the platform has announced that all of its available iterations of the movie will no longer be available on its streaming site. This includes the Spider-Man movies starring Tobey Macguire and Andrew Garfield, both of which have been dubbed classics by comic book fans worldwide.

Beverly Hills Ninja is also been removed from Netflix. This is a surprise as the recent instalment of the film franchise Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F has been a hit. It remained in the top 10 movies on the site for weeks, so it wouldn’t be surprising if Netflix used the success as an opportunity to promote past iterations, but they’ve instead opted to remove these movies from their website.

There aren’t as many series leaving the platform, but there are still some worth noting. Heroes of Goo Jit Zuwill no longer be available for fans to watch, while Netflix is also getting rid of Brave Animated Series and The Fierce Wife.

While it’s a shame to see different films and series removed from the streaming platform, if they weren’t removed frequently, there wouldn’t be any room for new additions to make their way onto the site. It’s exciting to think about what will be making an appearance in the coming weeks and throughout August and September.

You can find a full list of everything getting removed from the platform soon below.
