Every film and series coming to Netflix this week: July 2024

Despite the fact that Netflix has an entire algorithm mapped out to provide you with content that you’ll enjoy based on what you’ve already watched, it can be incredibly hard to find something that you like on the streaming app as you try to constantly keep up with the shows that are coming and going.

Every month, Netflix removes and adds lots of content to its platform to keep things on the website fresh and ensure viewers remain engaged with the constant filter of shows and movies coming through. July is no different, as this month, the platform is going overboard, adding a range of viewing options, including pictures both old and new.

Season two of Star Trek: Prodigy is coming over from Paramount Plus. It’s an animated series about a group of alien kids who make it their mission to travel across the galaxy. The series has been taken off Paramount Plus, but Netflix has adopted it to ensure fans of the first series will be able to continue watching.

Also making its way to the streaming platform is The Imaginary, which is an animated fantasy film from Studio Ponoc, and the sixth (and final) series of Cobra Kai and Beverly Hill’s Cop.

There are also a lot of films from the back catalogue that are being added in the coming weeks. Fans everywhere will be able to get a hit of nostalgia as they look back on classics such as Back to the Future, American Psycho and the acclaimed Sam Raimi Spider-Man trilogy. One of the films that people will no doubt be excited to revisit is Spider-Man 2, often considered the best out of the three, as Peter Parker takes on Dr Otto Octavius while keeping the balance of his personal life intact.

Some series coming in July have yet to have a date attached to them. For instance, LALIGA: All Access is a documentary that follows some of the most prestigious teams in the Spanish football league. Netflix has confirmed that it will be released in July, but they haven’t officially confirmed when that will happen.

The same goes for Simone Biles Rising, a series which follows the gymnast Simone Biles as she tries to balance everything it takes to be a champion. This means getting insight into her personal life, training schedule and mental health journey.

Here are some of the shows and films guaranteed to be coming to Netflix in the first week of July.
