Kicking off the week on April 8th, Megan Leavey brings a biographical war tale, followed by the animated return of Spirit Rangers season three, a Netflix Original series. The excitement continues on April 9th with Neal Brennan’s Crazy Good, a Netflix Original comedy special, and the intriguing Filipino historical biopic Gomburza.
April 10th brings a global feast for viewers, with highlights including Death Whisperer from Thailand, the captivating French limited series Anthracite, and the suspenseful Colombian thriller The Hijacking of Flight 601, all Netflix Originals. Meanwhile, Unlocked: A Jail Experiment delves into an immersive social experiment in which prisoners are given greater freedom with “candid interviews and unprecedented access.”
The standout title of the week is the riveting Hindi biopic Amar Singh Chamkila. Starring Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra as the influential Punjabi singer and his singer wife, Amarjot, the film will chart the meteoric rise and untimely demise of the dynamic singer duo. The Ethan Hawke and Pedro Pascal romance Western, Pedro Almodóvar’s Strange Way of Life, also arrives on Netflix on April 12th. And there is more on offer, of course!
