Homicide: New York (Adam Kasses, 2024-Present)
Returning on March 25th is Netflix’s critically acclaimed documentary series, Homicide: New York, with its second season, directed by Adam Kasses and produced by Wolf Entertainment and Alfred Street Industries. Following the monumental success of the debut season, currently boasting 80% on Rotten Tomatoes, Netflix is formally set for a true-crime comeback with its forthcoming five-episode instalment this week.
In the new season of Homicide: New York, formidable NYPD detectives and prosecutors recount notorious NYC murder cases, providing detailed accounts of their investigations, exploring gritty city cases of high-profile killings and unsolved crimes. Each episode focuses on a different homicide case, featuring real-life firsthand accounts of investigators. So, if the first season left you hooked, we hope, with Netflix, you’re returning to the murky lanes too.
BTS: THE RETURN (Bao Nguyen, 2026)
Premiering March 27th, BTS: THE RETURN is undoubtedly one of the most-awaited Netflix offerings of March, serving as a companion to the recently held live performance, which was streamed live globally on March 21st. Directed by Bao Nguyen, best known for his works in The Stringer and The Greatest Night in Pop, the film captures the making of BTS’s fifth studio album, ‘ARIRANG.’
BTS: THE RETURN charts the highly anticipated return of the K-pop group as they embark on an unprecedented journey forward, musically and otherwise. While BTS THE COMBACK LIVE | ARIRANG sparked a massive buzz online and was followed by an equally electrifying reception, now, it’s time to turn the pages of BTS’s musical chapter with a fresh new documentary, offering insights fans were oblivious to all this time.
The Predator of Seville (Alejandro Olvera, 2026)
Lastly, another true-crime documentary, The Predator of Seville, is landing on Netflix this week, recounting the chilling case of a tour guide accused of assaulting numerous foreigners in Spain. The docu-series tells the story of Gabrielle Vega, who was travelling in Spain from the US before starting university at 19. Although everything was going well, or so it seemed until she booked a trip with Discover Excursions, which specialises in curating low-cost trips for international students.
During the weekend trip, the guide assigned to Gabrille reportedly invited her for drinks and later sexually assaulted her. The Predator of Seville follows Vega’s story, who decided to go public with her account years later on a well-known television programme, triggering a wave of victim accounts, who faced similar abuse at the hands of the same guide, Manu White, who presented himself as the “Prince of Seville.”
