Emmys 2024: Every Netflix show to gain a nomination
The nominations for this year’s Emmy Awards have been announced, with nods to a number of Netflix shows including Richard Gadd’s Baby Reindeer and royal drama The Crown.
After winning the award back in 2021, The Crown receives another nomination for the coveted title of ‘Outstanding Drama Series’. This is just one of eight nods to the historical drama at this year’s ceremony. Dominic West and Imelda Staunton both receive nominations for their leading performances, while Jonathan Pryce, Elizabeth Debicki, and Lesley Manville receive supporting nominations.
Richard Gadd’s successful mini-series Baby Reindeer has also garnered an impressive number of nods, with nominations across the acting, directing and writing categories for limited and anthology series. Gadd appears in the lead actor category alongside Andrew Scott for his role in Ripley.
Meanwhile, Dakota Fanning has been nominated for her supporting role in Ripley, competing against Jessica Gunning and Nava Mau for their parts in Baby Reindeer. Both shows are nominated for ‘Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series’.
Though Ripley, The Crown and Baby Reindeer seem to have sweeped this year’s nominations, a number of other Netflix shows have received a nod from the Emmys this year, including Guy Ritchie’s The Gentlemen, Charlie Brooker’s Black Mirror, and documentary special The Greatest Night in Pop.
The Emmy Awards ceremony is set to take place on September 15th. Find the full list of Netflix nominees below.
