‘Emily in Paris’ will get a Roman holiday and “more twists” in new season

Fans of Netflix originals generally have to deal with heartbreak and disappointment when their favourite shows get cancelled before time. But Emily in Paris viewers, whether they tune in to hate-watch or genuinely love the show, can rejoice.

Season four is coming soon, and Lily Collins revealed a few tidbits about the upcoming season at the recent Tudum event in São Paulo, Brazil. Collins assured viewers it will be brimming with “more fun, more fashion, and of course, more drama.”

Emily in Paris follows Emily Cooper, a young fashionista who moves from Chicago to Paris to work in a marketing agency. The show is about her journey of exploring the city, the cultural differences, finding love, friendships and adventure.

Season three of the series left viewers in suspense as Camille and Gabriel’s surprise wedding took an unexpected turn when Camille revealed that she knew Gabriel and Emily are in love. She also told Gabriel that she’s pregnant. In the midst of it all, Gabriel confessed his feelings to Emily. Consequently, heartbroken by the truth, Alfie, Emily’s boyfriend, decided to end their relationship.

In the promo video, Collins reflected on the cliffhanger ending of season three, acknowledging the dramatic note on which it concluded. She playfully teased, “Surprise! It doesn’t end there.”

Collins also teased viewers with a Roman holiday in season four, “Emily is going to have to decide if everything she’s ever wanted is really what she needs and while Emily’s heart will always remain true to Paris, her life takes some unexpected twists this season. Don’t be surprised to find her on a Roman holiday.”

Emily in Paris season four might have a December 2023 release, but there has yet to be a confirmation from Netflix.
