Elliot Page offers new update on 'The Umbrella Academy' season 3

One of the undoubted successes of the Netflix platforms is their visceral superhero team known as The Umbrella Academy. The series focuses on the titular group of children who were rescued and put to work by a wealthy benefactor.

Using their supernatural powers, they’ve attempted to save the universe every season, but, in season three, the group face their hardest challenge yet, defeating the Sparrow Academy — a well-matched outfit from another universe.

Now, Elliot Page has shared an update on social media on how the filming for the show’s third series is going. While we can’t say, it offers a lot of insight, at least progress is being made.

Page posted a selfie to Instagram with a caption which read: “Morning” followed by a sun emoji.

The actor continued: “almost done…S3”, with a camera emoji, hinting that the series is nearly wrapped and we won’t have to wait much longer for The Umbrella Academy to return.

If they manage to wrap up the production by the summer of 2021, a fall 2022 release can be predicted. Since the first and the second season had a gap of nearly a year and a half, with the first season being available for streaming in February and 2019 and the second season in July 2020, Netflix will be hopeful of getting the next instalment out before the end of 2022.
