Eddie Murphy and Jonah Hill to star in new Netflix comedy

Jonah Hill and Eddie Murphy are two stars known for their comedic talent and growing list of impressive roles. Now, both are set to appear alongside each other in an upcoming Netflix comedy.

Murphy will be reuniting with his Coming 2 America writer Kenya Barris. The latter will be joined by Hill, whose writing inputs will surely add a dash of epic humour to the script. Although not much is known about the film, it will most likely be a hilarious and “incisive examination of modern love and family dynamics” while pitting it against stereotypes, generational conflicts, expectations, cultural clashes and more.

Murphy and Hill will most likely find themselves on the opposite ends of the spectrum. This film is set to be Barris’ directorial debut, and we expect great things from the man who has made our sides ache with the hilarious and amusing content he provided in films such as Coming 2 America, Shaft, Black-ish, Barbershop: The Next Cut etc.

Although Netflix has not yet announced a date of release, fans are pretty hyped to see the two iconic comedians unite on-screen.

Hill will soon be seen in the Netflix film Don’t Look Up alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Meryl Streep and more. Hill’s comedic genius is unparalleled, known for his wonderful performance in films like Superbad, He Won’t Get Far on Foot and Don’t Worry.

Murphy was last seen in more or less dramatic roles, his dramedy biopic Dolemite Is My Name garnered quite the attention where he portrayed his alter-ego Dolemite who was a Blaxploitation icon of the ’70s.

To see the legendary Murphy and Hill together on-screen will definitely be an otherworldly experience, and we cannot wait. But, seeing as we will have to, why not get in the mood by re-watching Shrek or Superbad, both of which are streaming on Netflix right now.
