Details announced for ‘Vikings: Valhalla’ season two on Netflix

Netflix have announced the details for the second season of their latest beloved series Vikings: Valhalla. The news comes alongside some first-look images from the set of the ancient epic.

The first season almost immediately featured in Netflix’s Top 10 list thanks to its association with Michael Hirst’s successful original series, Vikings. Jeb Stuart’s spin-off incarnation was, therefore, quickly renewed for a second season and they haven’t wasted any time getting it underway.

For those who haven’t seen it, the overall premise is a “follow-up series to ‘Vikings’ set 100 years afterwards and centring on the adventures of Leif Erikson, Freydis, Harald Hardrada and the Norman King William the Conqueror.”

The series sees stars take on famed Vikings with Leif Eriksson being played by Sam Corlett, Frida Gustavsson as Freydis Eriksdotter, Leo Suter as Harald Hardrada, and Laura Berlin as Emma of Normandy.

Fortunately, fans don’t have too long to wait with the series slotted for a release date on January 12th, 2023. With the series coming so soon, it is also a promising sign that perhaps further instalments might be on the way.
