Deborah Ann Woll says she’s not returning to ‘Daredevil: Born Again’

It seems that Daredevil: Born Again will not include Deborah Ann Woll’s Karen Page, despite her integral role in the popular Netflix series Daredevil, which concluded five years ago. While fans were thrilled to see Charlie Cox return as Matt Murdock in Spider-Man: No Way Home and She-Hulk, triggering a comeback, there were speculations about Woll’s involvement in the upcoming show.

However, the True Blood actor has dismissed any reports of her appearance in Daredevil: Born Again. During her appearance at the ICCC Nashville event, she mentioned, “I’m really happy with what I’ve had, and there are no plans for me so far on either side of the comic book universe, but I’m so grateful for the experience that I had.”

Although it’s possible that Woll may be keeping her future with Marvel under wraps, it seems that Born Again will focus on Cox’s character growth without Woll’s participation.

Despite this, Woll expressed her enjoyment of working in this unique corner of the Marvel universe. She acknowledged the significance of her role in Daredevil and hinted at the challenges of transitioning between Marvel and DC projects for actors. While Woll remains uncertain about her involvement in a DC project, she fondly recalled her time in the superhero world.

While the future of Woll’s character in the MCU remains uncertain, she continues to stay busy, recently voicing the character Laufey in God of War Ragnarök. Depending on the reception of Daredevil: Born Again, there is a possibility for Karen to have a role in the MCU in the future.

Cox will be joined by Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin, who made his return to the MCU-verse in Hawkeye.
