Dan Levy’s ‘Big Mistakes’ unveils trailer and spring release date in style
March has been nothing less than a showbiz fest with Netflix raining with content. But what if we were to tell you that April is looking even better with Dan Levy’s comedy crime drama, Big Mistakes?
That’s right! Netflix just pulled back the curtains on the highly anticipated trailer, announcing its April premiere, and it’s safe to say that we simply cannot keep calm.
While Levy is all set to bring his signature family drama with a twist of crime, Big Mistakes promises to be a “wildly dysfunctional, hilariously chaotic ride” about two incapable siblings who are blackmailed into the underbelly of organised crime.
Levy, who made his feature directorial debut with Good Grief on Netflix, will star in Big Mistakes. Additionally, he serves as showrunner and executive producer. The eight-episode series marks Levy’s second original scripted series, the first being the Emmy-winning sitcom, Schitt’s Creek. As for those curious about the release date, well, let’s just start at the beginning.
Netflix teased the premiere date of Big Mistakes earlier this week with a staged necklace heist that initially confused fans. On March 10th, a mysterious billboard was found hung up on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, showcasing a diamond necklace spelling 4.9.26. Due to the lack of context, people couldn’t solve the riddle right away.
Later that evening, Netflix’s social media channels shared an AR video of that very necklace being stolen. Then, on March 11th, cast members, including Levy, Taylor Ortega, Laurie Metcalf, Abby Quinn, Boran Kuzum, and Jack Innanen, shared selfies, each flaunting the “stolen” necklace, revealing them to be the culprits behind the heist the day before.
But worry not! The necklace has been returned to its rightful place, and the board is back to life, revealing the numbers to be the show’s premiere date on April 9th.
To keep the orchestra playing, Netflix released the trailer for Big Mistakes as the grand finale of the necklace heist after the missing piece was returned, starting the countdown to April 9th.
While one look at the trailer is enough to spotlight the chaos that’s about to flood our Netflix screens this spring, in case you haven’t checked it out, you’re making a mistake. So, tighten your seatbelts because this spring will be a rollercoaster ride with Big Mistakes.
