Brother of victim shares complaint about Netflix series, ‘Amy Bradley Is Missing’
Netflix reignited conversations about the unsolved missing case of Amy Bradley with its latest documentary, Amy Bradley Is Missing. And since its touchdown, viewers’ interest has peaked about the mystifying case that still has countless unanswered questions. Although Netflix ensured they did justice to Bradley and her family’s story, her brother has voiced a concern in regards to the docu-series.
The three-part docu-series, Amy Bradley Is Missing, revolves around Bradley’s disappearance from a seven-day cruise trip in March 1998. She was on a holiday trip with her family and was last seen sleeping on the suite balcony following a nightclub outing with her brother. But when her father visited her cabin the next morning, she was nowhere to be found.
The Netflix documentary features exclusive interviews with the Bradleys and details the theories surrounding Bradley’s disappearance, from multiple sightings to newly uncovered evidence. But on the heels of the docu-series landing on Netflix, which is presently the most-watched title, Bradley’s brother, Brad, opened up about Amy Bradley Is Missing. He was asked whether the family supports it.
As it turns out, the Bradley family does support the Netflix documentary. However, they do have one complaint they cannot do away with. “Yes, we support it, but it was not a complete account and left out quite a bit of information,” he wrote on X upon being asked by viewers. According to Brad Bradley, narrating and detailing the entire story would have actually taken ten seasons if not more.
But they believe the producers did a great job and “are happy with the response so far.” Bradley’s older brother continued in a follow-up X post with a genuine urge, “For 27 years, my family has searched for Amy. We will not stop. The Netflix docuseries Amy Bradley Is Missing is shining a light on her story, and we need your help to follow leads and find answers.” He even attached a GoFundMe link with his tweet.
The GoFundMe campaign has been created to help the Bradley family mobilise resources to chase down promising clues, tap into expert insights, secure legal backing if required, and follow the trail wherever it leads to reveal the truth about Amy Bradley’s whereabouts. Her brother also recently conversed on WWBT’s 12 On Your Side about his last encounter with Amy.
According to Brad Bradley, his sister slept on the balcony because she felt seasick. “She said, ‘I’m going to stay out here on the chaise lounge and a lot of fresh air and wind. I don’t want to go in a closed room right now.’ So, I told her I loved her,” he recounted. He revealed that she must have returned to her room some time since “a shirt she was wearing was laid across one of the chairs.”
Although the questions still linger, active search is still going on from the Bradley family’s end, as his social channels swarm up with questions, suggestions, and advice. So, if you haven’t watched, Amy Bradley Is Missing is currently streaming on Netflix.
