Gal Gadot shared the first look at her upcoming Netflix action thriller film, Heart of Stone, which has also roped in a famous Bollywood actress, Alia Bhatt.
Considered one of the best actresses in Bollywood currently, Bhatt is still reeling under the success of her latest release, Gangubai Kathiawadi. There she plays the famous titular character, an Indian sex worker and brothel owner of the 1960s who gets lured into the underworld under the pretext of becoming an actress.
According to an exciting announcement made by Netflix India on Instagram, Bhatt is now venturing into Hollywood with the upcoming Netflix release.
Bhatt will be joining a legion of Bollywood stars like Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Ali Fazal and the late Irrfan Khan. They also made their Hollywood debut and have worked on several other projects. Bhatt is a notable figure in the Indian industry with films like Raazi, Gully Boy, Student of the Year etc.
Heart of Stone is not the first espionage thriller for Bhatt. She played the Indian spy in Pakistan in Raazi, where she infiltered the Army General’s house to gain classified information.
The film also stars Jamie Dornan, and Peaky Blinders’ Tom Harper is directing this espionage thriller. The rest of the cast includes Jing Lusi from Crazy Rich Asians, Paul Ready from The Terror, Matthias Schweighofer from Army of the Dead and Gadot’s Death on the Nile co-star Sophie Okonedo.
None of the roles has yet been disclosed except for Gadot’s. She will play the lead. On her Instagram, Gadot introduced herself as Rachel Stone, dressed like a spy with a hardened expression.
