‘Bloodhounds’ is returning to Netflix in April 2026
Action enthusiasts, it’s happening for real! The South Korean action drama, Bloodhounds, is coming back to Netflix in April following a three-year wait after its debut season.
Based on Jeong Chan’s Naver webtoon of the same name, Bloodhounds is a gripping action thriller series on Netflix, which tells the story of a young boxer who joins forces with a delinquent and a benevolent moneylender to fight back a loan shark organisation.
The story opens with Kim Geon-woo, a talented young boxer with dreams larger than his life, who only wants to give his mother the entire world. But when his mother inadvertently becomes a victim to Smile Capital, a remorseless loan shark organisation led by Kim Myeong-gil, Geon-woo turns to Choi Tae-ho, a moneylender with his fair share of layered history.
He subsequently comes across a former marine and a troubled delinquent who seeks solace in boxing. And even though they come from increasingly varied walks of life, they form an unexpected bond, driven by a collective desire for justice and a need for shielding those they love. So, they form an unlikely alliance to bring Smile Capital down once and for all, descending deep into the shady underworld of debt collection.
Now, the revenge saga is all set to return on Netflix on April 3rd with its second season, which picks up three years later. In the forthcoming season of Bloodhounds, expect a bigger stage and higher stakes as the show takes viewers into the unapologetic scene of the underground international boxing league.
Woo Do-hwan and Lee Sang-yi will reprise their roles as Geon-woo and Woo-jin, a pair of fighters with iron-grid strength who have been toughened by the battles they’ve fought hand-in-hand. After outdoing the loan sharks in the first season of Bloodhounds, Geon-woo is more determined than ever to fulfil his dreams of becoming a world-renowned boxer.
Plus, with Woo-jin completely on his side as his coach and found family, it’s time for the duo to go against a new rival who fights not for glory but power and greed above everything else: Baek-jeong. Hence, there’s no room to cut slack because this time, there’s absolutely nothing holding the two back.
