Ashton Kutcher is set to make his return to rom-coms with Reese Witherspoon in the upcoming Netflix film, Your Place or Mine. Netflix has not revealed when the film shall be released yet but we can no longer keep calm.
Directed by Aline Brosh McKenna, the film will focus on two best friends, played by the two lead actors, who live on opposite coasts and swap homes for a week. The week turns out to be life-changing as they come to terms with each other’s lives, struggles and more.
Kutcher, 43, who was a popular rom-com lead, as seen in films like Just Married, No Strings Attached, What Happens in Vegas, A Lot Like Love among others, was last seen in the 2011 film New Year’s Eve. Popular for his role on That ‘70s Show and Two and a Half Men, Kutcher was seen last on the Netflix series The Ranch that ended in 2020 after a four-season run.
Recently, his comments along with his wife Mila Kunis’ regarding hygiene and cleanliness went viral as people were left debating over how healthy their habits actually are.
McKenna’s directorial debut, following her work in The Devil Wears Prada, Cruella, 27 Dresses etc., is set to feature the two actors romancing each other for the very first time. Among various producers, Witherspoon can be seen taking credit as well.
Witherspoon, who recently sold Hello Sunshine for a whopping $900 million to Tom Staggs and Kevin Mayer will continue to run the company. The 45-year-old was last seen in Little Fires Everywhere, a Hulu production, and will soon be seen as Elle Woods in Legally Blonde 3, in collaboration with Mindy Kaling.
No release date for the movie has yet been revealed.
