Agent Peter Sutherland will return with another assignment in ‘The Night Agent’ season four

If you’re someone who’s far from done with Agent Peter Sutherland’s night action drama, there’s good news for you: The Night Agent has been officially renewed for a fourth season on Netflix, which means he will be back with another assignment sooner than you think.

Following an adrenaline-fueled rollercoaster ride in season three that took Gabriel Basso’s character across countries on the pursuit of stolen financial intelligence and had him solving open conspiracies, a video released by Netflix confirmed that The Night Agent is poised for a comeback.

“It’s been a wild ride filming The Night Agent in five countries across three continents… and we’re so thrilled that the adventures of Peter Sutherland will continue in season four,” said series creator, showrunner, and executive producer Shawn Ryan. “Our writers, our cast, and our crew stand ready to answer the call to bring our incredible fans even more twists, turns, and thrills.”

Although the third season of The Night Agent pulls the curtain with Peter informing his boss, Agent Aiden Mosley, about his decision to finally take a break, despite the FBI deputy director looking seemingly pleased with his decision, he hints at new possibilities once he’s ready for a comeback.

“I’ve been thinking about the request you made earlier for a partner. I think I have a candidate in mind,” Mosley tells him. Ryan previously confirmed to Tudum that the tease is inherently going to be the “launch pad” for the follow-up season. Therefore, Netflix greenlighting The Night Agent for a fourth season is undoubtedly the first step in the thrilling journey that awaits viewers.

The Night Agent has maintained momentum on Netflix for seasons and years on. The first season is currently positioned tenth on Netflix’s most popular list of shows. The second season debuted right at the top of the most popular series chart on Netflix, amassing 13.9million views in the first four days of its release.

Meanwhile, the third season of the spy thriller hit the second spot on the English TV list, garnering 9.9million views in its second week, triggering a resurgence for The Night Agent’s first two seasons on the weekly charts.

While details remain scarce around the exact plot, cast, developments, and release window of the fourth season of the hit Netflix series, filming is confirmed to take place in Los Angeles. Similarly, the production timeline remains shrouded in a mystery for now. So, stay tuned for additional updates on The Night Agent season four.

Other recent Netflix productions taking place in LA besides The Night Agent include Nobody Wants This, Running Point, The Lincoln Lawyer, and Animals. Safe to say, the city of angels is officially a Netflix hub.
