After reigning on Netflix, ‘Wednesday’ goes big on the Billboard charts

Wednesday is not just reaching out for the stars on Netflix charts. It’s making the Billboard ones count too.

Currently clutching silver at the second position on Netflix’s weekly list of top ten shows, the two-part second season recently surpassed the third season of Stranger Things on its all-time chart. The first part was released with four episodes on August 6th, and the second part came a month later on September 3rd.

But as you would remember, the second season of Wednesday doubled down not just on the gore, body bags, and danger. It did so with its music as well. The soundtrack was honestly music to every ear. And with Lady Gaga chiming in, how could it not?

Wednesday: Season Two – the soundtrack accompanying the latest batch of episodes is presently ranked 20th on the Classical Albums Chart in America. Although the set has managed to crack just one list, the same cannot be said for Gaga’s ‘The Dead Dance.’

‘The Dead Dance’ has debuted at number forty on the Hot 100 chart, simultaneously establishing its position in the top ten of the Dance Streaming Songs Chart as well as the Billboard Global Exclusive US. The song was released on September 3rd, midway through Billboard’s tracking phase, leaving it only a few days to garner enough streams and sales to qualify on many Billboard tallies. But it didn’t leave any crumbs.

With ‘The Dead Dance’ getting cosy on multiple Billboard charts, it has also shot up on the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart. But that’s not all. It has been minting streams on the Pop Airplay and Adult Pop Airplay rosters. Additionally, Gaga’s hit track is in for a second round at number one on the Dance Digital Song Sales list within the timeline.

Previously, Gaga’s ‘Bloody Mary’ went viral for good reason when the first season of Wednesday dropped. Remember the Rave’N dance and the trendy TikTok edits? That happened even without a feature in the series. So, bringing the songstress to the second season was the best bet the creators could have taken, as is evident from Wednesday’s starry rise on the streaming and sonic charts.
