'A Quiet Place' star Emily Blunt lands her next Netflix lead role

Emily Blunt has landed her next lead role in a Netflix film following her stint at A Quiet Place

Directed by Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbeldore director David Yates, the film is titled Pain Hustlers and will see Blunt as Liza Drake. The film is based on a script by Wells Tower, known for The True American

Drake is a high school dropout who yearns for a better life for her and her young daughter. She lands a job at a failing pharmaceutical start-up company in a Central Florida mall. Charming and determined, Liza’s perseverance helps catapult the company into fortune and she is thrust into the world of the elite where she soon finds herself in the midst of a deadly criminal plot.

Said to be similar to films like The Wolf of Wall Street, American Hustle and The Big Short, Pain Hustlers will be a wild and dramatic quest laced with comedy as it sees an ambitious woman rapidly advance into the corrupt yet extravagant core of the much-coveted American Dream.

Netflix has acquired the film for $50 million, despite their falling stock prices, loss of subscribers and overall financial setbacks. The film will begin production on August 22nd, 2022.

Currently, the Golden Globe-winning actress is a part of A Quiet Place Part III and will probably be seen in the prequel spin-off A Quiet Place: Day One which will be arriving next year.

The Girl on the Train actress will be seen returning to the third film after surviving the previous film; Blunt will return as Evelyn Abbot with Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe as Regan and Marcus. Cillian Murphy, who played Emmett, has survived and will make a return as well.

The film will be directed by Blunt’s husband, John Krasinski yet again. While not much is known about A Quiet Place spin-off, one can only hope to see Blunt make a return.
