‘A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder’ Season 2 is returning with a brand-new mystery

Little Kilton is officially back on the map, and yes, the excitement is as real as it gets. A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder is returning for season two, and after the absolute takeover the first season managed to pull off, this comeback is a major moment for mystery fans.

A huge reason for that momentum was Emma Myers as Pippa Fitz-Amobi. Yes, many of us knew her better as Enid from Wednesday, but she also gave a superb performance in A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder. She brought intelligence and curiosity to Pip that made the character impossible to ignore. And no, this wasn’t a cookie-cutter teen detective. Pip made bold decisions and asked uncomfortable questions, which kids her age usually avoid.

Season one of the show was centred on the five-year-old disappearance of Andie Bell, a case that had already been “solved” in the eyes of Little Kilton. Pip reopened it for a school project, convinced that Sal Singh, who had been blamed for Andie’s murder, did not commit the crime. What began as research turned into a deep search into buried secrets and hidden motives. Along the way, she discovered uncomfortable truths about people the town trusted. By the finale, Pip exposed what really happened and cleared Sal’s name, but the victory came with serious consequences.

When the credits rolled, everything had changed. Pip’s world looked different. Her relationships were changing, and the town itself had to confront what it got wrong. That ending didn’t close a chapter neatly but cracked the door open for something bigger. And now, with season two officially on the doorstep of Netflix, it’s clear Little Kilton is not done with secrets.

What will happen in A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder Season 2?

If you thought Pip would just go back to normal life after exposing the truth about Andie Bell, think again. In season two, she is dealing with the consequences of her investigation and how it affected the people around her. She wants to step away from solving crimes and focus on fixing the damage and getting her life back to normal. And hence, she keeps telling herself she’s done with mysteries for good.

But of course, peace never lasts long in Little Kilton.

As Max Hastings’ trial approaches, key witness Jamie Reynolds suddenly disappears. He literally vanishes. With the case already under a microscope, Jamie’s disappearance sends shockwaves through the town and immediately raises new questions. For Pip, staying out of it becomes almost impossible.

This new mystery pushes her into deeper and more complicated territory. The search for Jamie forces Pip to confront what justice really means and how far she is willing to go to uncover the truth. The line between being the “good girl” and doing what is necessary starts to blur. And if season one changed her, season two looks ready to test her even more.

Who’s returning, and who’s new?

Season two will have Emma Myers return as Pippa Fitz-Amobi alongside Zain Iqbal as Ravi Singh, with Henry Ashton back as Max Hastings as his trial approaches in the show. Familiar faces, including Asha Banks (Cara Ward), Yali Topol Margalith (Lauren Gibson), and Jude Morgan-Collie (Connor Reynolds), are also returning to their roles as the story continues in Little Kilton.

Joining the cast this season are Misia Butler as Stanley Forbes, Eden H. Davies as Jamie Reynolds (whose disappearance sparks the new mystery) and Jack Rowan as Charlie Green, Pip’s new neighbour. Freddie England also appears as Robin, who will be a new and controversial addition to the friendship group, and begins dating Lauren.

Season 2 is based on ‘Good Girl, Bad Blood’

Season two of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder is based on Good Girl, Bad Blood, the second book in Holly Jackson’s bestselling YA mystery series. Like season one, the new season closely follows Holly Jackson’s original story, and this time she is also writing for the show alongside Poppy Cogan. The six new episodes bring the second book to the screen and take Pip into a darker story that tests what she believes is right and wrong and who she wants to become.

When will Season 2 be released?

An exact release date hasn’t been announced yet, but A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder Season 2 is set to dawn on Netflix in 2026. The new episodes will premiere on Netflix globally (excluding the UK and a few other territories), while viewers in the UK and Ireland will be able to watch on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer.
