Netflix reveals Michael Keaton film ‘Worth’ release date and poster

Netflix’s upcoming biographical drama Worth is highly anticipated, owing to its incredible ensemble cast comprising Michael Keaton, Amy Ryan and Stanley Tucci, among others. This film is based on true events that occurred post 9-11 and has, to the relief of fans, finally announced the release date and dropped the poster on Twitter.

The film is set to premiere on Netflix on September 3rd, 2021. The first key art poster, which is shown below, shows the leading trio in their individual character snippets. The caption details the intense narrative of the film: “An attorney learns a lesson in empathy when he is faced with the near-impossible task of determining how to compensate families who suffered incalculable losses as a result of the September 11th attacks in 2001.”

Directed by Sara Colangelo, who is well-known for her works such as Little Accidents and the Kindergarten Teacher, and based on Max Borenstein’s screenplay, Worth also stars Tate Donovan, Talia Balsam, Shunori Ramanathan, Marc Maron, Chris Tardio and others. Keaton, who was last seen in a scathing role as US General Attorney Ramsey Clark in The Trial of the Chicago 7, is one of the lead protagonists of the film.

The film, set in the post-9-11 world, shall focus on human relationships, empathy and compassion.

Following the horrifying terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon in 2001, the film will focus on how Kenneth Feinberg and his team of mediators are assigned the impossible task of compensating the victims’ families, given how their lives cannot be measured in terms of monetary compensation.

Feinberg’s cynical worldview changes completely when he is at loggerheads with a grieving husband and soon begins to feel the despairing aftermath of human tragedy.
