Being a boarding school made specifically for outcasts in an alternate world demands engaging visuals. The Cantacuzino Castle, in the Carpathian Mountains, has managed to serve everything and beyond when it comes to breathtaking visuals.
Romania’s very own Nevermore
Now let us dive into the details of the gorgeous castle. Located in the Romanian mountain town of Busteni, the castle originally belonged to a politician named Prince Gheorghe Grigore Cantacuzino. This beautiful house was completed on the year 1911. With needing over ten years to finish, the lavish property is adorned with courtyards, a watch tower, and special stone paved ways that lead to the church and other important buildings within.
The stucco-furnished marbles add to the theme of the show, with Venetian Murano stained windows and fireplaces adorned with gold and mosaics. After World War II, the USSR, the castle in its entirety was looted of all its previous cargo, including the art present within.
When Nevermore’s gates opened to the public
Much later, in the year 2008, a German lawyer and developer got possession of the property with the aim to commercialise it. However, a few years later, he opened the gates of the private bliss to the public, wherein all the art was showcased to the world.
The artworks included exclusives by Salvador Dali, Marc Chagall, Vincent Van Gogh, Henri Matisse, and Pablo Picasso, among many others. The newly birthed gallery also held a show with Leonardo da Vinci’s very own designs. In conclusion, a better plot for the Addams family’s newest Nevermore Academy does not exist.
