17 Disney movies and shows coming to Netflix
Disney licensing some of its dearest films and shows to Netflix again is just the streaming-world plot twist we needed as 2026 approaches and, more importantly, the holiday season approaches. What’s more important here is all the cinematic furniture Netflix is borrowing, because these are not the leftovers… these are some of Disney’s best!
That’s right, Disney is sending 17 named titles to Netflix across different genres and release windows, although before anyone gets too excited, no, this does not mean Marvel and Star Wars have made the list. Disney+ is being generous, but it’s not going to burn its own bridges.
But let’s talk about what’s coming, and you’ll be happy to know that Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ seasons one and two are already on Netflix around the world for three months.
Then you have Ice Age, and not just the first one either. All five existing films came on Netflix on October 4th for the same three-month stretch, so Scrat is back chasing that poor acorn in front of a much bigger audience while Disney prepares Ice Age: Boiling Point for cinemas in 2027.
More television starts filtering through after that. Will Trent brings its first four seasons to Netflix globally on November 3rd, while Shifting Gears reaches the US in December and Tracker heads to Netflix outside America in February 2027.
Older shows are part of the deal too, which is where things get a bit more nostalgic. Felicity joins Netflix in the US, while Revenge, Army Wives, Fresh Off the Boat and This Is Us are also included, though where each one appears depends on the country.
And then, yes, Pixar gets involved. Soul, Elio and Raya and the Last Dragon are due to join Netflix from early 2027 as part of a rotating selection, so those three may not be the end of it.
So Disney is not abandoning Disney+ or chucking open the vault. Far from it. What it has done is recognise something rather obvious: Netflix has a huge audience, and sometimes putting an older show or film in front of that audience is a much better advert than leaving it rotting in your locker.
