The 10 most popular series on Netflix this week: February 2023

With Valentines Day been and gone, it’s no surprise that almost all of this week’s Netflix top ten series have one thing in common: love. There are also some old favourites lurking in the list’s upper echelons, demonstrating that the best shows always have staying power. So, let’s get to it. These are the most popular shows on Netflix this week.

This week’s number one and number two spots are occupied by seasons two and three of You, which tells the story of “A dangerously charming, intensely obsessive young man goes to extreme measures to insert himself into the lives of those he is transfixed by.”

Clearly, we’ve all been getting a bit hot and bothered this week because, at number eight, we’ve got the third season of Love Is Blind, the reality TV show that follows fifteen men and fifteen women, “all from the same metropolitan area” and all “hoping to find love” – even if that means interacting with one another in purpose-built pods where they can talk but not see each other.

Love is entirely absent from the show holding this week’s number seven spot. Full Swing, is an “immersive documentary series [which] follows a diverse group of professional golfers” who we see both on and off the course during a “relentless season of competition”. In its first week on Netflix, the first season of ‘Full Swing’ has garnered 17,110,000 hours worth of viewing time. That’s a lot of hole-in-ones.

At number six, we’ve got the immensely successful second season of Ginny & Georgia, which has broken all kinds of records since it arrived on-site seven weeks ago. The first season of Wednesday has also proven to be enduringly popular, having accumulated 20,240,000 hours of viewing time in 13 weeks.

Working our way up the list, we’ve got the first season of Red Rose, a British horror drama focusing on a group of school leavers who become dangerously obsessed with their smartphones. Then, at number three, there’s the first season of You, which is sitting just below this week’s number two: the first season of Perfect Match.

It comes as little surprise that this week’s number one spot is occupied by the fourth season of You, which sees Joe start a new life in London as Professor Jonathan Moore. You can check out the trailer for the new season below.
